The Korean Association of Public Administration (KAPA) is one of the leading public administration and management associations in the world. In Korea, public servants have played an important role in all areas of national development, and KAPA was formed almost 60 years ago in order to study, understand, and, ultimately, improve our approach to delivering public services and strengthen society through effective government. Dedicated to enhancing administrative effectiveness through the free exchange and dissemination of ideas, KAPA routinely brings together Korean and international practitioners and scholars to share their valuable experiences and cutting edge research. To this end, this year KAPA will host an international conference in Korea on the theme of The Essence of Public Administration.
